Bespoke perfume design is a fantastic way to add aroma to your event, business or simply yourself!
Karen Hussey designs provides a service that allows you, your company or your guests to create their own signature fragrance, which can then be made into an individual perfume or used in a variety of exciting and interesting ways.
We have various options available, ranging from corporate parties to personal events. These are particularly good for groups who are looking for new and unique ways to entertain or thank guests and employees.

Corporate Entertainment & Events
The Concept
Most of our clients are first introduced to The Perfume Experience through corporate events, an area in which our signature fragrance concept can be found at its most rewarding. We will provide you with an exciting and unique experience that will remain with your guests forever. We offer 3 different event choices, as well as a workshop option. Alternatively, we can tailor the event specific to your requirements, from providing a world class Master Perfumer, to organising the venue – whatever your needs!
Fragrance Taster
Our Fragrance Taster event has proved an absolute hit for those who are looking simply to have fun creating their own unique fragrance, learn something about perfumery, and go home with a 5ml sample of their creation which they can order at any time in the future. This lasts for approximately 1 – 2 hours and includes our consultant describing and presenting our exquisite range of 18 blends, inviting guests to sample and choose their favourite, and then creating each guests’ unique fragrance
Fragrance Connoisseur
The Fragrance Connoisseur event is by far the most popular event for corporate groups who love to create their unique fragrance but would also like to take it home there and then to use in a choice of our stunning atomisers presented in a beautiful gift box! Our consultant will again guide guests through the creation process, as they would do in the Fragrance Taster event, except when it comes to creating their fragrance, we will make up 20ml of their creation as a perfume and will offer them a choice of nine exquisitely coloured atomisers
Teambuilding
Teambuilding with a Difference
The popular corporate event is also available as a fun, interactive and skills-building team day. Like so many of our offerings, the teambuildng day can also be constructed to meet your exact requirements.
Whether you'd like a half-day event or full-day, it is entirely built around the key skills needed to succeed in business today, while remaining fun and dynamic. Teams go head to head putting a variety of skills to the test as they create their signature fragrance and brand to capture the market. Whichever teambuilding event you chose, each participant goes home with a fragrance in a beautiful atomiser. This can either be the fragrance which they make as a team, or a fragrance of their choice which they have created during the day.
Half Day Target Market
Each team is given an overview of the target 'customer' for a fragrance that will be launched. They must create a fragrance that matches the target market by carefully choosing ingredients, being mindful of costs and effectiveness. A perfume expert will run the day and guide the groups in a fun and informative - though competitive - session.
Teams create a name for their designed fragranced, as well as packaging. The event challenges the groups in terms of teamwork, delegation skills and use of resources and prioritising - and tests them with a deadline! At the end of the day, the group presents their product to the 'customer' and other groups.
Apprentice Style
An event similar to the task featured in 2008 on the final of The Apprentice on BBC1, this task incorporates selling the product that they create to the general public, or colleagues, thus testing their sales skills. The full day event is designed to be fun and interactive, while encompassing as many business skills as possible. Split into teams with a brief to create a fragrance product, each group will have a fictional budget to work with. Skills are tested when they decide whether perhaps to include the budget-busting Sandalwood blend in their fragrance, or a reasonable citrus; a plain coloured bottle, or an expensive diamante? Fun, rewarding, and very challenging.
Hen Parties & Weddings
We understand that your wedding, and planning your wedding, is the most important time of your life. That’s why we have created options perfect for Wedding Day gifts and favours, as well as Hen Party fun!
We specialise in creating perfumes for Brides and colognes for Grooms, and providing favours in a variety of different options. However, we also offer Perfume Hen Parties, where all attendees design and take away their own fragrance – a great way of starting the Hen weekend and a perfect choice for all ages and guests.
Hen Parties
The perfect way to start a Hen night, or weekend! Suitable for all ages, and taking between 1 – 2 hours, every participant will be able to create their very own unique fragrance, to wear in the evening, or at the wedding. We have several popular Hen Party options to choose from.
Scented Hen
Every guest creates and receives a 5ml bottle of their unique fragrance – while the Hen receives hers in a stunning 20ml atomiser.
Fragranced Hen
For that little extra, all guests receive a beautiful atomiser, but the Hen also has her fragrance infused in a luxurious 50ml Body Oil!
Perfumer Hen
Perfect for making the Hen feel extra special; everyone receives their atomiser but the Hen also gets a Body and Bath Oil Gift Set with one of our ‘Secret Agent’ atomiser pens with their fragrance inside – exquisite!
Before the Big Day
We provide specialist consultations designed specifically for creating fragrances to wear on your wedding day. We can create a unisex fragrance or perfume for the Bride and cologne for the Groom, guiding you on those blends which represent the emotions and characters of marriage, love and desire – the perfect way to express yourself on the Big Day.
Gifts for Bridesmaids and Mothers
Thanking your bridesmaids and mother - and new mother in law - for all their help and support, can often be a precarious and daunting task. The Perfume Studio makes a great personal gift and is a wonderful way to show your gratitude.
